Description
Carcoon is the ultimate automobile storage system ever invented. Protect your investment. With its unique active airflow process and other advanced features, Carcoon sets a new standard in car care. The unique ´active airflow´ system (worldwide patent) consists of two air treatment blower units which operate continuously to provide super-atmospheric circulating airflow 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Importantly, the circulating air is taken from inside the storage unit itself, and effectively isolates the flow of air from the humid outside environment. The blower are very economic and have a low consumption of electricity.
People worry about humidity simply because high humidity means lots of condensation each time the air falls below the dewpoint. However inside of the mini environment created by the Carcoon the air temperature is kept stable, in fact the air temperature remains close the that of the stored vehicle. This means the vehicle is protected from warm saturated air condensing onto the vehicle. If the setup procedure is followed and the environment remains undisturbed the vehicle remains protected.
Saturation from condensation is the real enemy of any infrequently used vehicle, low temperatures even with a relatively high Relative Humidity (RH) reading will keep the bike dry inside the Carcoon.
The Carcoon is very simple to use, all you need to do is cover the garage floor with the base mat provided, park your bike on the mat, place the top cover over the vehicle and fasten it to the base using the special zipper. Plug in the power supply and five minutes later your bike is stored in its own protected environment.
The Carcoon also comes with a battery management system that powers the Carcoon and maintains the battery of the stored vehicle in ideal way.
The Outdoor Carcoon is a double skin construction (a bubble within a bubble) with an insulating air gap between each skin. The base mat is also insulated using two layers of heavy duty Poly Plax mat with an insulating foam between each layer.
The material of the outdoor Carcoon is very special, being double alloy coated. The alloy coating provides unrivalled outdoor protection, blocking 99.9% of the damaging Ultra Violet. Any vehicle exposed to UV light for prolonged periods can suffer considerable damage, for example, UV light alone will oxidise even the best paintwork. Once the paint starts to breakdown it becomes particularly vulnerable to attack from air borne pollutants such as acid rain. Importantly this special alloy coated material (MVCR) also blocks Infra Red light.
Blocking the infra-red (primary heat source) keeps the interior temperature of the Carcoon stable temperature stability is a very important part of the whole concept. The dimensions of Carcoons vary slightly from the stated dimensions tothe dimensions of the fully inflated tents.
