The shed is made of very stable, robust, and durable wood, which will last for a long time, especially if you take care of it. The wooden shed has a roof with a 2.2° pitch so water do not assemble. It is important that you install permanent roofing felt or shingles within a couple of weeks after assembly. Please note – roofing felt is not included! All boards are painted on the spraying line before panel assembly. The boards are coated with primer and a durable topcoat in a two-stage process. Profiles are painted on the outside, including tongues and grooves. To prolong the life of the building for many years, all internal timber surfaces should be treated with a breathable wood stain. It is important that you place the wooden shed on a prepared level foundation so all the various parts will fit together to make a functional shed. Use cement, flagstones or similar for the foundation. Furthermore, it is vital that you make sure that water do not assemble under the shed as it can damage the enclosed wooden floor. The shed is prefabricated and you can assemble it in just a little while without having to use special tools. Double securing of frames between the panels in the corners of the shed provides high stability. The sloping roof will make sure no water collects on top causing damage. We recommend you place the Bertilo wooden shed on a firm and level surface such as concrete, flagstones, paving slabs or similar. In general, timber is a natural material and various weather conditions will affect the material. In warm and dry weather, the material will lose some of its internal moisture causing a certain shrinkage of the panels. Excessive rain will cause a certain swelling of the wooden panels. This process cannot be avoided. Make sure that the shed is placed with a little distance on all sides to secure air circulation.
