When you have a garden shed, you have room for everything you need for the garden and more – garden tools, machines, extra pots, bags with soil, a water hose, a barbecue and maybe a bike or two. How much you can cram into the shed, of course, depends somewhat on the size of the shed. Sturdy flooring can optimise your garden shed

If the base is plane and solid, you can place a garden shed on different surfaces. For example, if you have a garden shed on flagstones or a wooden deck, you will automatically have a lovely and functional floor inside the shed. This will help you use the storage space better as you can place most things directly on the floor. Another solution is to install a metal floor frame and lay a wooden foundation - or a solid and durable corrugated aluminium sheet floor. If you decide to place your garden shed directly on the ground – that is, on grass or gravel - we recommend you place a tarp or similar membrane, then put your garden shed on top and install your floor inside your shed. This way, you will have better insulation and minimise condensation.

Hooks and shelves for utilising the space in height

When you have a garden shed, many things you store inside are often put on the floor – garden tools, the barbecue, the lawn mower, bikes, and so on. When you have filled the floor, there is still a lot of space above all the things – but to utilise this space, you need some hooks and shelves to fasten on the walls of the shed – or even a storage rack even though it will take up some of the floor. You can even have a soft hook to hang a bike on the wall freeing a lot of space on the floor.
