Like winter bathing in the sea, ice bath pods have become increasingly popular – in connection with saunas or just for feeling the rush of happiness that comes from dipping your body into a pod of ice-cold water. There are several benefits to using an ice bath. One is reducing muscle soreness like athletes have been doing for many years. After a workout, dive into the cold water and feel how the cold water causes your blood vessels to constrict. The blood vessels rapidly dilate when you get up again, potentially easing delayed-onset muscle pain by flushing out metabolic waste products and increasing blood flow. Without specific scientific evidence, many have experienced improved sleep as the cold treatment strengthens the central nervous system. Better sleep and a robust nervous system reduce fatigue, strengthen the immune system, and improve mental health. The cold plunge could also help reduce stress and improve overall well-being by relieving a great dose of endorphins in your body. On hot days, of course, an ice bath will cool you down, relieving an overheating body, a condition known as hyperthermia, by reducing body temperature.

Cleaning and maintenance of the ice bath

To ensure safe and hygienic use of the ice bath, it is important to change the water regularly. The optimal way to maintain a clean experience every time is to drain the water completely after use and clean the pod with a mild detergent. This prevents the accumulation of bacteria and other microorganisms that can occur if the same water is left standing for too long. You can alternatively add various products to the water that will prolong the cleanness of the water but to avoid chemicals, we recommend that you empty the pod. To save water, use the water for watering plants or similar. You can also add different kinds of salts to the ice bath – like Epsom salt that will not only keep the water clean for longer but also help you restitute even better.

In the case of strong wind, it is your responsibility to secure the tent adequately and prevent it from injuring materials and people.When it snows, a risk emerges that snow pile up on the roof of your tent.
