We recommend that you use storm pegs together with storm straps to secure your marquee, pop-up gazebo and storage tent in case of bad weather. As our Safety Advice recommends, you are not supposed to pitch a marquee or pop-up gazebo if the weather forecast has a warning about windy weather. On the other hand, a marquee and pop-up gazebo are light constructions, so even a small amount of wind may cause trouble. That is why you always should make sure that you fasten your marquee, FleXtents® gazebo and storage tent with storm pegs and storm straps.

Storm pegs as part of the vital Safety Packs

Storm pegs are important to use for fastening marquees, FleXtents®, and storage tents. Your storage tent may also have a ground skirt, where you can place stones or other heavy objects in order to keep the structure in place. The easiest way to secure your marquee or FleXtents® pop-up gazebo is by using the heavy-duty storm pegs. If you for some reason cannot use storm pegs – if you set up a marquee or similar on asphalt or another hard surface – you should use the storm straps and secure them to stationary objects.
