PE or PVC storage shelter?

The Dancover range includes both PE and PVC storage shelters.

PE models provide a practical and comparatively lightweight solution for professional storage where flexibility and price are important. Current PRO examples use 300 g/m² PE covers over galvanised steel frames.

PVC models use heavier cover materials and are relevant when a more substantial construction is required. Current professional models include 500 and 600 g/m² PVC covers, depending on the size and series.

Always compare the complete specification, including frame dimensions, cover weight, door size and structural data, rather than choosing on cover material alone.

Choose size, height and access carefully

A professional storage shelter should be planned around both the stored equipment and the daily workflow.

Measure the largest machinery, vehicle or material load that must enter the shelter and compare this with the door width, door height and internal clearance.

Extra height can be especially valuable for agricultural machinery, larger vehicles, stacked materials or forklift movement. Some Dancover PRO XL models are specifically designed with additional side and ridge height to create more usable volume.

Allow enough room to manoeuvre safely and reach stored items without having to reorganise the entire shelter.

Storage shelters are primarily designed for covered storage, but their size and access can also make them useful as sheltered working areas for appropriate tasks.

On building sites, farms and other professional locations, a shelter may provide protection for equipment or materials while also offering temporary covered space for preparation, maintenance or handling work.

If people will work regularly inside the structure, consider ventilation, lighting, access and any workplace requirements relevant to the activity.

Current PRO models use galvanised steel structures and different anchoring arrangements depending on the model and installation surface. Selected models include stake pegs and ground-bar systems, while installation on concrete may require suitable expansion bolts.

Wind and snow loads vary across the range. Always check the individual technical specifications and follow the relevant weather guidance.

Professional storage shelter or industrial storage building?

A PRO storage shelter is a good choice when you need substantial covered capacity with more flexibility than a conventional permanent building.
